When would You-Tube have taken off as a site for young would-be musicians to upload their work? I know it's practically the norm now, but would it have been so in the late 90s? Say '98 or '99?

Woo-hoo!

I have a feeling that everyone else will already know this, but I didn't, so I figured I would post, just in case. I got next week's TV and Sat magazine and they had a piece about the upcoming Torchwood Special in it. They give an airdate of July, so it won't be June. Maybe they'll time it to be the same time as the America airdate? Still, that isn't all that far away...

Oh, dear Lord, I've just come back from watching the Star Trek movie with my housemate. I am practically in orbit at the moment. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe this major piece of WIN!!!

So I'm on my housemate's computer catching up on my Friends List and find that one of my current favourite WIPs has been updated. I leap on it with squeals of glee and read voraciously until I get to the end....

.... whereupon I yowl in indignant fury that I am faced with 'yet another hangover'!

I did, of course, mean to say cliffhanger.

Cue unbridled hilarity from my housemate while I bang the desk with my forehead. It's at exciteable times like this that I am reminded that English is my second language and it's a treacherous beastie. I blame fanwriters who write fantastic stories but torment me with multi-part stories. Evil, pure and simple.

It was perfectly in character for Ianto’s life that the sound of the TARDIS split the air half-way through the Civil Ceremony. To Jack’s eternal credit, he looked more alarmed and irritated than delighted as the familiar blue box gradually phased into existence. Ianto had already resigned himself to having what was supposed to be their special day ruined as the door opened and a young girl dressed in casual street gear and with a rucksack on her back bounced out.

Jack sat at his desk and fumed to himself. It just wasn’t right, damn it! After all his efforts to fit in with this time and culture, with its weird obsession with labels and appearances, it was a real kick in the teeth to have Ianto playing fast and loose with Jack’s emotions like this.

This fandom is so damn generous it can be truly mind-blowing at times. I received a comment from cryptocat regarding Reclaiming Camelot. She has done me the honour of doing me a banner and an icon regarding the story! How cool is that? Now I had planned to repost Reclaiming Camelot, plus the sequel but I have been thwarted in that my computer has died and I can't (at the moment) afford the exorbitant amount of money it needs to be repaired so I can get at my stuff. I shall, however, be keeping this safe and using it the second I get things sorted out.

In the meantime, however, I want to gloat, so....
