So, so sorry for disappearing like this. Some words of wisdom for those of you reading this.

1. Whoever invented FarmVille, Cafe World, FishVille et al should be killed. Slowly.

2. Never, ever miss the team meeting where they will be deciding who organises this year's department Christmas party.

3. If you find yourself mysteriously blocked from your Yahoo email account, do NOT believe Yahoo when they tell you the problem will be cleared up within a couple of days.

4. Do NOT believe your RL friends when they tell you that they don't really want you to make the usual Christmas cards, candles and cookies that you usually make for them.

and finally

5. Do NOT book tickets to go and see stuff and then completely forget the dates so you find out you're double-booked and you have to use up what few weekends you have free to make it up to people!

Okay, sorry for the delay in getting fic up. Trouble is that I can only really use the computer during the weekend and last weekend and this coming one are both taken up so I'm a mite stuck. Fic is coming, though, I promise!

I was rummaging through some old emails and found one that had an out of date list of all the story titles I've used (or am planning to use) for Torchwood. Mainly so I don't use the same one twice.

Bear in mind that it was out of date. As in from last year. It's for both the written and the planned stories that I would like to write at some point.

I think I need to go and lie down somewhere. Preferably with alcohol.

I've made a list! (Yes, I know that's a scary thing for you to read.) It's a list of the next few stories that will be posted. I am going to post it so I have something to keep me on the straight and narrow should I become tempted to dash off and do something completely unrelated. The stories won't be posted in the order that I've listed them, but they will all be the next ones that you'll see.

I do sort of reserve the right to do the odd prompted story from plotbunnies that get sicced on me by Certain People. *glares meaningfully at Certain People* And I'm still hoping to get a story finished for the current prompts on jantolution and jantoseasonal. Apart from that, though, these will be the ones I'm working on.

Anyway, avaunt!

Ianto was aware of Andy moving around but hadn’t paid any real attention to what the other man was doing. It therefore came as a surprise when Andy suddenly came to a halt in front of his desk and dropped a notebook down in front of him. Ianto blinked at the blank pages, then blinked again as a pen appeared in front of his nose.

“I only sign autographs on special occasions,” he deadpanned as he looked up at Andy. “Never on a Monday afternoon.”

Journal: Happy Ever After
Summary: Jack and Ianto wake to unfamiliar surroundings.

A word of warning: The journal Happy Ever After is an exercise is trying to write a positive, relationship-heavy, family-orientated series of stories that still include Torchwood elements. Although there will be incidents of angst, trauma, misunderstandings and drama, the tone of the journal will be generally upbeat. In other words, what the title implies! Please avoid if you want ‘gritty, realistic, dark drama’ because it ain’t going to happen here!

“That’s what’s worrying me,” Jack admitted as he started the car and drove in the direction of the Hub. “So far this has all been one long list of our wishes come true, which makes me a very paranoid Captain.” He realized that Ianto had given him a sharp look as he spoke. “What?”

THE ONGOING SAGA... GOES ON

Okay, I said I would be back at the beginning of October. I would have loved to have come back to a triumphant fanfare, with everything all shiny and sparkly and Iantoesque in its neatness.

Fat ruddy chance, really!

I’ve made a start and the project is an ongoing one. Some of the links are in place and some of the stories have been reassigned new locations, so if you had memed a particular story it might be a good idea to do a quick check that the thing is where it was when you left it! This is going to continue for a while. Rather than make rash promises, I’d say it won’t be perfect until around the beginning of next year, but I will be finishing it, so you won’t have long to wait.

You’ll notice a few stories don’t have a location next to the titles. That’s because they were originally posted on a community and I deleted them before I reversed my decision to go off and play in a private sandpit. They will get posted again, but several of them are going to be rewritten and heavily expanded, so I’m holding back for a little while.

To the left is a second links list which will be telling you which universe is which and where the stories belong to.

Rather than keep you waiting even more (and thank you so much for your patience!) I’ve come back with some offerings and a whole lot of promises! Please - as always - let me know if a link is bad or if I've forgotten to unlock a story. Being organised is not natural to me!

One BIG thing. With the sole exception of the series Dragon and Phoenix (to be posted in the LJ Timelords Resurgent), there will be NO acknowledgement that Children of Earth exists. No fix-it fics of any description because so far as I am concerned the benighted thing never happened. I also find myself totally indifferent to the prospect of Series 4, so when it turns up I won’t be watching it and I certainly won’t be factoring it into my fanfic. If you want canon, please avoid me like the proverbial plague!

Thank you for making me feel so wanted and I hope to post a hell of a lot more fiction from now on. Deciding to make a complete break with Torchwood as RTD envisages it has turned out to be extraordinarily liberating one and I have a whole stack of fics ready in the wings. I am going to make it a rule now not to start posting a multi-chaptered fic until I’ve written at least half of it, so there will be a delay with some of the epics.

And now on to the updates!

Yet another request for help!

Sorry, but sometimes I can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong!

I've noticed that many writers manage to put entire sentences into the link through to their fics. When I try to do that, I do the usual lj-cut text = bit and then after that put the sentence in but when I check either I only get the first word or I get another one word substitute (usually 'text'). I've tried putting the sentence in with quotation marks and without quotation marks and neither seems to work.

What the heck am I doing wrong???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as always!

Anyone else seen the latest Nescafe instant coffee advert? The one with the glowing cavern?

Am I the only person who has seen that and now has about a dozen overexcited plotbunnies crashing around inside their head? Bunnies that refuse to listen when I tell them I have other things to do and they can wait their turn?

*bangs head against keyboard*

Why does this always happen to me?
